This session explores the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in higher education, focusing on how it challenges traditional assessment while creating opportunities to enhance learning. Dr. Nigel Francis will discuss the shift from assessing final outputs to evaluating the learning process, arguing that AI can ultimately support, not undermine, core teaching aims. Following this, PhD student Jordon Millward will share his perspectives on using AI to improve the effectiveness, accessibility, and engagement of feedback for students. This will be followed by an open discussion.
