Resource Efficiency in Horticulture

November 6

Join us for a dynamic one-day event dedicated to advancing sustainability in the edible horticulture sector. Hosted by The East Malling Trust and the Association of Applied Biologists (AAB), this conference brings together growers, researchers, policymakers, and industry leaders to explore how we can deliver healthy, fresh produce to the UK while reducing resource consumption and improving environmental impact.

What to Expect!

The conference will showcase cutting-edge research and practical innovations across the food system, with a focus on:

  • Pre-harvest and post-harvest efficiencies
  • Water, energy, and labour-saving strategies
  • Waste management and climate-smart practices

Expect a full day of keynote talks, poster sessions, and networking opportunities designed to foster collaboration and inspire action.

We strongly encourage ECPs to present their research. The opportunity to present your research- either as a talk or a poster— is  included in the delegate day rate.

  • £80+VAT: Standard delegate rate
  • £40+VAT: Early Career Professional rate

Generous travel grants are available for ECPs from AAB, and The East Malling Trust will award a £200 prize for the best ECP presentation.
