16th International Symposium on Aquatic Plants

The meeting will be held in Belgium (city of Antwerp), between the 13th and 17th of November 2023. The aim of the conference is to promote debate on all issues relating to the science and management of aquatic vegetation. Interest in aquatic plants has been growing and diversifying and to reflect this there will be a wide Scientific Programme, which will appeal to scientists and managers. Further, pre-symposium activities such as workshops on species identification and aquatic plant functional traits will be offered to strengthen the output of conference participation. 

Previous Aquatic Plant meetings have had an intimate and collegiate atmosphere which has facilitated discussion, formal networking and the enjoyment of delegates.

An International Scientific Committee oversees the conference and its outputs while a local organising committee looks after the conference management.
