HOW TO ENTER THE GPC/PPP #PlantSciVid CONTEST

I. Post a 60-second long video clip or animation on Twitter or Instagram that highlights the wider implications of your plant-focused research and why it matters. Entries can take any form of video clip (i.e. talking head, song or poem, presentation, animation, image series, poster board etc.). We are looking for engaging and fun entries, not those that are professionally filmed and edited. Videos taken with smart phones are welcome and we particularly encourage entries from early career researchers and students. Feel free to get creative!

II. Select one of the following two categories:

  • Plant science – this is a general category for most entrants. Please include the following hashtags in your post: #Scicomm and #PlantSciVid.
  • Plant health– this category has been chosen especially to celebrate the International Year of Plant Health. Please include the following hashtags if your entry relates to plant health: #IYPH2020, #Scicomm and #PlantSciVid.

III. To ensure that we see your entry, please make sure to tag in both the Global Plant Council and Plants, People, Planet on Twitter (@GlobalPlantGPC @plantspplplanet) or Instagram (@globalplantcouncil @plantspplplanet).

IV. Finally, don’t forget to include a short caption in your post to accompany your entry and attract views!
