Geoffrey Wasteneys is a Canadian biologist, currently at University of British Columbia and a Canada Research Chair. in Plant Cell Biology. He is fascinated by how plants grow, develop, and adapt to their environment. His lab researches plant cell proliferation, expansion, and differentiation, focusing on the dynamics of microtubules, which are essential for cellular development. After completing his PhD in Australia, he focused on microtubule research. Now, as a Professor at UBC and a Canada Research Chair, her work continues to explore plant cell biology.
