SUMMARY:9th International Plant Phenotyping Symposium (IPPS9)
DESCRIPTION:The 9th International Plant Phenotyping Symposium (IPPS9)\, held in Accra\, Ghana\, from October 12–16\, 2026\, marks a historic first for the series on the African continent. \nCo-hosted by the IPPN & the West-Africa Centre for Crop Improvement (WACCI)\, this landmark event focuses on adapting state-of-the-art plant science & phenotyping tools to combat food insecurity in the face of global shocks. \nBy fostering a reciprocal exchange between global innovators & African researchers\, educators & policy-makers IPPS9 emphasizes learning how to apply high- & low-tech solutions meaningfully within diverse African agro-ecologies. \nThe program is thought to bridge the gap between academia & industry /global-north & global-south\, featuring workshops\, distinguished keynotes\, scientific sessions on climate-resilient breeding\, & an industry exhibition with hands-on training. We invite partners to join this unique dialogue to ensure the next generation of phenomics is both scientifically rigorous & locally impactful.

SUMMARY:International SPS Symposium 2026
DESCRIPTION:This International Symposium is organized by the Saclay Plant Sciences network\, one of the largest European plant science communities. \nIn the face of rapid and significant climate change\, advancing our knowledge in plant sciences has never been more crucial. The research being conducted in our laboratories today will make it possible to develop tools\, cultivars\, and agricultural practices that will help adapt our lifestyles and production systems to these environmental challenges in the near future. \nThe International SPS Symposium will gather international researchers from various areas of plant sciences to show the diversity of plant research\, share new insights and promote collaborations. The sessions will focus on the following topics: 1) Nutrition and metabolism\, 2) Environmental interactions\, 3) Developmental and cell biology\, 4) Genome wide analysis and 5) Agronomic traits and breeding tools. \nRenowned international and SPS speakers will present their latest finding. Additionally\, approximately twenty talks will be selected based on submitted abstracts. Two poster sessions (featuring flash-talks) will also provide attendees with the opportunity to present their work and foster new collaborations.
