SUMMARY:Taiwan-Japan Plant Biology 2023 (TJPB2023)
DESCRIPTION:The TJPB2023\, organized by the Taiwan Society of Plant Biologists (TSPB) and the Japanese Society of Plant Physiologists (JSPP)\, will gather plant biologists in Taiwan and Japan to share current research findings and resources\, and strengthen research collaboration. Following the joint meetings in Taipei in 2017 and Nagoya in 2019\, TSPB and JSPP organized the 3rd joint meeting at Academia Sinica\, Taipei\, Taiwan. The TJPB2023 includes keynote/plenary talks\, fifteen concurrent oral sessions\, lightning short talks\, poster sessions\, and diverse social events to facilitate interactions\, particularly for next-generation talents.\n\nWebsite: https://www.tjpb2023.org/

SUMMARY:SEB Plant Environmental Physiology Group (PEPG)’s Field Techniques Workshop 2023
DESCRIPTION:The Plant Environmental Physiology Group (PEPG)’s Field Techniques Workshop will be taking place from Sunday 10th September to Friday 15th September 2023 in Naturasolta – Quinta de São Pedro\, Portugal\, just 15 minutes from Lisbon. This event will invite 65 plant biologists to come together for a series of practical workshops\, alongside presenting their work in the form of a poster (with selected abstracts being given the opportunity to present a flash-talk alongside their poster). \nThe organisers would like to encourage students\, early career researchers (PhD and Postdoctoral) and well practiced biologists in the field of environmental physiology and experimental botany to attend. Attendees will also include 14 established scientists as well as representatives from 10 scientific manufacturers. \n

SUMMARY:Phytohormones Congress - Metabolism and mode of action
DESCRIPTION:XVI Phytohormones Symposium: Metabolism and mode of action\, of the Spanish Society of Plant Biology \nAfter a break due to the Covid19 pandemic\, the SEBP Phytohormones Group will hold its meeting this year\, 2023\, at the Convento de Mínimos de Segovia (Spain) from April 19 to 21. \nSimilar to other years\, the format of the meeting will be 15-minute talks plus question time\, trying to ensure that most of the laboratories that attend have representation. We would also like to give visibility to the youngest in these talks. \nThis year we want to launch a new poster presentation format\, which will be in a digital version. The posters will be uploaded to a cloud where researchers will have the opportunity to visit them. To do this\, you can use your own computers or tablets that we will make available to you. The poster will have a link email for further discussion if you want. \nBoth the summary of the talks and the posters will be collected in a book that will only be online\, but will have an ISSBN number.

SUMMARY:The 19th International Workshop on Plant Membrane Biology
DESCRIPTION:Since 1968\, the International Workshop on Plant Membrane Biology (IWPMB) has provided a stimulating platform to discuss research advances related to plant membranes and to exchange new ideas. After much discussion among the Organizing Committee\, we have decided that the theme of the 19th conference will be on how membrane transport is integrated with signaling\, physiology\, biotic and abiotic stresses\, and development\, and what new technologies and systems approaches can be adopted to address new questions and challenges. \nThe meeting was originally scheduled to be held in October 2022\, but the global pandemic prompted us to postpone it to March 2023. In doing so\, we are pleased to be able to conduct in-person meetings and\, coincidentally\, March is a very pleasant time of year to visit Taiwan. The pandemic has forced isolation on us for some time and\, undoubtedly\, we are all eager to have this opportunity to meet colleagues with common interests and to have stimulating and fruitful discussions to drive our research forward. \nIn order to encourage early career PIs\, postdoctoral researchers and students to attend IWPMB\, we have allocated funding for fellowships to subsidize some of their travel costs. Accordingly\, when you register\, please indicate if you would like to be considered for the fellowship competition. \nTaipei is a fascinating city\, with a mix of modern and traditional elements\, and it is enriched with natural beauty\, historical temples\, and diverse dining experiences both in graceful restaurant atmospheres and in the vibrant night markets. The local Organizing Committee and I will do our very best to make this workshop a success and your stay here comfortable and enjoyable.
