DESCRIPTION:Gain a clear understanding of impact within the context of your work and start developing an impact plan for a new or current project. \nResearch impact has many definitions. According to the Australian Research Council “research impact is the contribution that research makes to the economy\, society\, environment or culture\, beyond the contribution to academic research”. \nImpact is a complex topic and scientists have increasingly been questioned\, especially by funding agencies and research organisations globally\, about their research’s impact. \nThis workshop will give you a clear understanding of impact within the context of your work. You will start to develop an impact plan for a new or current project. \n\n\nThis half-day online workshop will cover: \n\nWhat is research impact in the context of fundamental research\nTerms and definitions used in research impact\nCreating impact from fundamental research – your impact pathway\nPlanning for impact\n\n\n\nSession: 28 January from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm (UK time).* \nou will need to create and/or log into your SEB account to be able to book this event.  \nCost\n1.
